Whether you need a network of machines for production, development, test, or demos, our infrastructure can provide you completely isolated virtual networks of virtual machines in a highly-available infrastructure.
As part of our service, you will assigned your own VLAN for each virtual network, and the ability to create virtual firewalls between VLANs and/or the Internet. You will recieve your own public IP block as requested (with ARIN justification).
Our cluster consists of multiple physical machines running ESX server with the ability to VMotion a virtual machine from one physical machine to another without downtime and in such a way as to maximize performance and guarantee service-levels.
Multiple virtual machines are connected to a virtual switch. If virtual machines are located on the same physical machine, traffic is routed using shared memory network interfaces on the virtual switch. If virtual machines are located on separate physical machines, traffic is routed externally through our physical switches.
In the rare case where one of our physical machines fails, the virtual machines that were on this machine will be automatically started on another physical machine within our cluster. We always have extra physical resources available to allow for hardware failures while keeping our SLAs met.
All physical machines have redundancy features such as RAID 1+0 SCSI disks, dual power supplies, and dual fiber channel controllers. We also have redundant fiber channel switches, hardware firewalls, ethernet switches, and connectivity between each physical host and these switches.
